About Mike
Born and raised in northwest Fresno, I’ve had the honor of serving our community not just as a resident but as a neighbor, small business owner, and dedicated public servant. As a second-generation small business owner, I learned firsthand the value of hard work, responsible budgeting, and the importance of creating opportunities that uplift families and strengthen our local economy. These lessons have guided my public service and continue to define my approach to leadership.
In 2019, the people of Fresno’s District 2 entrusted me with the privilege of serving on the Fresno City Council — a role I’ve approached with deep commitment and a clear focus on results. In 2025, my peers elected me Council President — one of the highest honors on the council — and in 2026 I was re-elected to serve a second consecutive term, something that had not happened in over 20 years.
Leadership Through Results
As a Councilmember, I’ve worked tirelessly to deliver meaningful outcomes for our neighborhoods in northwest Fresno and across our city:
Why I’m Running for County Supervisor
Fresno County Supervisor District 1 is home to hundreds of thousands of residents, including the cities of Fresno, Kerman, Mendota, Firebaugh, and the northwest region of Fresno County. I’m running to bring bold, practical leadership to the Board of Supervisors — leadership that reflects our shared values of public safety, economic opportunity, and family-centered community investment.
Community First — Always
Public service is more than a title — it’s a responsibility to listen, to lead, and to deliver for the people who call this community home. Whether it’s in northwest Fresno, Kerman, Mendota, or Firebaugh, your voices, your concerns, and your aspirations are what drive my work each and every day.
Together, we can build a Fresno County where public safety is guaranteed, opportunity is abundant, and every family has a chance to succeed.
