Mike Karbassi proudly signed the Safer Fresno Budget Pledge, vowing to only vote for budgets that add police officers and firefighters to keep Fresno safe. He kept his promise and Fresno has a historic 900 police officers and 375 firefighters working to keep our neighborhoods safe.

Mike spearheaded Fresno’s crackdown on illegal street racing and sideshows while delivering millions to create Safe Routes to Schools in northwest Fresno by improving street lights, intersection patterns, and sidewalks.

IMPROVED NW FRESNO ONE BLOCK AT-A-TIME

Since taking office, Mike has delivered $5 million to District 2 and $15 million citywide to improve streets, sidewalks, gutters. He also led the charge to complete Veterans Boulevard, a critical connection to Highway 99 and west Fresno.
